Falconhurst NGS and Chapel Down Winery - 3rd October 2018

We had a full day’s trip to Falconhurst NGS and Chapel Down Winery on 3rd October. Our first stop was the four acre garden at Falconhurst where we enjoyed coffee and cake whilst admiring the amazing views and autumn colour.

As well as looking at the beautiful borders, there were also Gloucester Black Spot pigs to feed and freshly laid eggs to buy. We then headed to Chapel Down Vineyard and, after a quick stop at Silcocks Farm Shop for a delicious lunch, we had a very informative tour of the vineyards and saw how the award winning wines were produced.

This was followed by a wine tasting session, including the sparkling Rose served at the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. We packed a lot into the day and everyone said how much they had enjoyed it.

Here is a collection of photos from the day. Click on a photo to see full size.
